Relief of Poverty - ONLINE APPLICATIONS ONLY PDF Print E-mail

Social Services or similar organisations may apply only online on behalf of individuals in need. Those individuals will generally be in receipt of welfare benefits, such as Income Support or Disability Living Allowance or perhaps on a low wage.

The Trust expects organisations applying to provide information relating to their client which will enable the Trust to fully consider the application for financial aid.

No single organisation should inundate the Trust with applications as funds are limited and the Trust endeavours to spread the funds available as widely as possible.

Grants range from £10 to £200 per individual / family unit and generally speaking, an individual / family unit will be restricted to one grant only. Grant cheques are only made payable to the organisation applying and not to the individual concerned.

It is expected that the organisation applying is prepared to monitor the expenditure thereby ensuring that the grant money is used for the purpose for which the funding was sought.

The Trust does not provide full funding for larger items such as washing machines but will, for a successful application, provide a contribution towards the overall cost.

Due to financial constraints, new applications will again only be accepted from the 4 October 2010 when the application form will again be available.
