The main aims of Newby Trust are to promote medical welfare, training and education and the relief of poverty.

The Trust welcomes applications from Social Services and similar organisations, which may apply on behalf of individuals. These applicants should refer to the sections Relief of Poverty and/or Medical Welfare.

Under the general headings of medical welfare, relief of poverty, education and training the directors have a policy of selecting one category for special support each fiscal year (6 April – 5 April). Registered Charities will be invited to apply for this special support category and unsolicited applications will not be accepted. Please refer to Special Category for further information.

Grants for post-graduate educational studies are distributed via bursaries and scholarships. Please refer to the Education section for further details.
